What a Day of Meals Look Like for Me

Breakfast
  • Fat coffee (coffee with butter, MCT or coconut oil, and possibly heavy whipping cream)
    or
  • Eggs or meat
  • Veggies
Snack (one of the following)
  • 100% natural nut butter or nuts. Have to be careful here since nuts have carbs, not a ton, but enough to have to be weary.
  • Veggies like cucumbers, celery, etc. (make sure they're low carb veggies, obviously)
  • One serving of strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries (these are the lowest carb fruits)
Pre-exercise
  • Fat coffee
Lunch/Dinner
  • Large salad with olive oil, veggies, cheese, seeds
  • Meat. If it's chicken or something lean I try to add some fats to it like cheese, butter, etc.

Recipies

  • 1 Cup Water
  • 1 Tbs Butter
  • 2 Tbs (26 g) Chia Seeds
  • 2 Tbs (13 g) Flax Meal
  • 1 Tbs Heavy Cream
  1. Boil water and add butter
  2. Add chia and flax and stir to avoid clumps
  3. Pour into bowl and add heavy cream
  4. Add some berries or nut butter if you like
  5. Enjoy!!

Other Things to Consider

  • Make sure to drink enough water. Using carbs as a primary fuel source causes your body to hold onto more water in your system. Getting into ketosis causes your body to dump a lot of this water, hence you will most likely need to drink more H2O than before.
  • Because of this there's a good chance that you'll lose a decent amount of weight the first week
  • Make sure to get enough salt (Real Salt or Himalayan Sea Salt). Since you're not eating any processed foods you're not getting much sodium in your diet
